Abstract
Online shopping is the process whereby customers directly purchases goods or services from a seller without an intermediary over the internet. It is a form of electronic commerce which includes various models of e-commerce like business to consumer and business to business etc. While comparing traditional shopping customers prefer online shopping not only because of convenience, but also due to wider scope for selections and competitive pricing. The growing number of internet usersin India provides a good prospect for online shopping. This paper highlights on attitude and various factors which online customers keep in mind while shopping and the problems they face during online purchase. The study was conducted in Palakkad District and data was collected from 100 online customers residing in Palakkad District. The study will help the e-marketers in framing their e-marketing strategies.
