Abstract
The Automobile Industry in India is one of the major contributors to the global Automobile market. Tata Motors Ltd has the fourth largest share in the Indian Automobile Industry with the third-largest sales and servicenetwork.In this study, the strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats are identified with the help of SWOT and TOWS analysis. The main aim is to examine the financial aspects of Tata Motors Ltd for the period of five consecutive financial years (i.e. from 2015 to 2019) as well as make a comparative analysis. The study helps to know the changes in sales as well as the profitability of Tata Motors Ltd using trend and ratio analysis. This is in order to identify and understand the causes of setbacks in its performance in the recent previous years. The study has concluded that Tata Motors India Ltd is gaining a new growth trajectory, even in the face of setbacks in the previous years. It has been suggested that the company's focus on growth and value should be more technology oriented, which has an unprecedented growth trajectory and is projected to be the global norm in the coming future, in order to stay on top of the game, not just in domestic markets but in global markets as well.
