Abstract
Recycling is a key component of modern waste hierarchy. Recycling aims at environmental sustainability by substituting raw materialinto and redirecting waste
outof the economic system. Composting or reuse of bio-degradable waste is also a form of recycling. Farm yard manure refers to the decomposed mixture of dung and
urine of farm animals along with litter and left over material from roughages or fodder fed to cattle.Water hyacinthis one of the most invasive aquatic weeds in the world
causing a serious threat to biodiversity.Enriched neem leaf compostis prepared by using neem leaves, farm yard manure, single super phosphate with microorganism
and it can be used as an important soil conditioner.Sawdust or wood dust is a by- product or waste product from wood working operations such as sawing, milling,
drilling and sanding.A pot experiment was conducted during April-July, 2017 at the pot culture yard of Department of Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry, Annamalai
University. This experiment was conducted with the treatments of four levels of factor-A - CF0–Control, CF1–75% RDF, CF2–100% RDF, CF3 – 125% RDF and five
levels of factor-B- EC0–Control, EC1 – EFYM, EC2 – EWHC, EC3 – ENLC, EC4– ESDC. There were 20 treatment combinations laid out in a factorial comp letely
randomized design (FCRD) with three replications. Sunflower cv. sunbred was grown as a test crop. The results of the pot experiment revealed that application of 125%
RDF (N: K2O) + 125% P2O5 (SSP) enriched water hyacinth compost (T18) (CF3.EC2)
